To the death of Jean-Louis Cohen

With great shock we learned of Jean-Louis Cohen’s death, winner of the 2010 Schelling Architecture Theory Prize, who died unexpectedly on August 7th 2023.

 

As architect, researcher, scholar and curator Jean-Louis Cohen’s work includes publications and exhibitions that have been instrumental in understanding the international connections between major modernist architects and their effectiveness. He succeeded in addressing a wide audience and at the same time raising the voice for the quality of the environment designed by man and its endangerment in the course of generations and epochs.
